The 6 best places to meet entrepreneurs in Brussels

By Charlotte Deprez Published 09/03/2018

If you’re in Brussels and looking for launching or developing your own company, you might want to meet like-minded people to talk entrepreneurship and learn more about related topics. We’ve put together a (non-exhaustive) list of great companies, Facebook groups, organizations, Meetup groups and Eventbrite pages organizing just that!

1. Startups.be

Startups.be was born from the observation that there were no representation of the Belgian startup scene as a whole on an international level. They position themselves as the “one-stop shop for Belgian entrepreneurship” and organize events, international missions as well as matchmaking initiatives for startups.

Don’t miss their huge annual event: the Tech Startup Day, a whole day dedicated to entrepreneurship and taking place in Brussels.

More info on their website.

2. Silversquare

With 5 locations (Europe, Louise, Stéphanie, Luxembourg and soon Triomphe), one of the first coworking spaces that opened in the capital city has bright days ahead! They put together entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and creatives from any sector to enable collaborations and networking.

Their community managers regularly organize events to foster the spirit of the different places and connect fellow entrepreneurs.

3. Le Wagon

Le Wagon is a coding school that was created in Paris and then launched in Brussels a few years ago. When it comes to quality events, they must be among the most prolific organizers out there! Workshops, afterworks, conferences, demo days… The occasions are numerous to mingle with fellow entrepreneurs and developers, learn and have a good time!

More info on their eventbrite page and website.

4. BeTech

BeTech is a bit of a pioneer on the entrepreneurship scene in Brussels. It was founded 4 years ago by Kristoffer Tjalve, after he saw similar initiatives in other European countries. A simple Twitter hashtag quickly became a Facebook group and a real physical community. Once you join the Facebook group, you can connect with all the almost 6000 members and be in the loop of BeTech events!

5. Co.Station

Co.Station is a coworking space and office space with an epic view on the Sainte Gudule Cathedral, in the heart of Brussels. It’s a very nice mix between freelancers, entrepreneurs, SMEs, startups, scale-ups and bigger companies such as Orange or BNP Paribas. They organize a lot of events in collaboration with their members and open to all.

More info on their website.

6. Betacowork

The Betacowork is one of the first coworking spaces in Brussels. Their community is huge and very well connected and they organize a lot of events, hackathons, masterclasses, drinks, … you name it! The Betacowork is a big family of people helping each other out, why wouldn’t you wanna join?
